About this tool

Trim the beginning and end of a video to keep only the moment that matters. Set the cut points with the player, then download the clip, with no watermark and no upload.

When to use it

Remove dead time

Phone videos often start with a few useless seconds and end with the tap to stop recording. Removing them makes the video nicer to share.

Pull a moment from a long recording

A meeting, lecture or match can last hours: keep only the talk or play you care about.

Meet a length limit

WhatsApp statuses, stories and some forms limit video length: trim it to size before sending.

How to use

  1. Choose your video.
  2. Set the start and end of the section, from the player if you like.
  3. Click “Trim video” and download the clip.

How it works

The player lets you find the exact start and end of the section. The tool then reads the original video and keeps only the frames and sound between those two points.

The clip is written in the same format as the original (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV). Frames around the cut points are recomputed when needed so the video starts exactly at the right moment.

Tips for best results

  • Pause the player on the frame you want, then click “Use player position”.
  • Leave half a second before the action so the video doesn't start too abruptly.
  • For a clip meant for WhatsApp or email, compress it afterwards with “Video compressor”.
  • To make a GIF of a section, go straight to “Video to GIF”, which has its own section picker.
  • Check the clip in the result player before deleting the original.

Yes, the sound of the selected section is kept.
