About this tool

No scanner? Turn on your phone or computer camera, capture your pages one by one and get a PDF ready to send. The document filter makes text sharper and the file lighter. Photos stay on your device.

When to use it

Sending a supporting document

ID, tax notice, certificate: photograph the pages and send one clean PDF instead of several photos.

Digitising notes or mail

Handwritten notes, a letter, a receipt: a PDF is easier to file and find than a photo gallery.

Getting by without a scanner

At the office or at home, a laptop webcam is enough to digitise a one-page document.

How to use

  1. Turn on the camera and allow access.
  2. Capture each page, then reorder them if needed.
  3. Create the PDF and download it.

How it works

The camera video is shown in the page through the browser's API; on phones, the rear camera is chosen. Each capture saves the video frame at full resolution, with an optional filter that turns the page into high-contrast black and white to make text stand out.

Captured pages can be reordered or removed before creating the PDF. Each becomes an A4 page oriented automatically to match the photo. The video is never recorded and no image is uploaded.

Tips for best results

  • Lay the document flat, on a dark, plain background, under bright light without glare.
  • Hold the phone parallel to the sheet to avoid a keystone effect.
  • Keep the document filter on for text; turn it off for a photo or a colour document.
  • On a computer, use the best camera available: the list appears when several cameras are detected.
  • For photos you've already taken, use “Images to PDF”.

Common problems and fixes

“Access denied”

Allow the camera in the address bar or the browser settings, then reload the page.

The image is blurry

Move back slightly, wait for the focus to settle, or add light before capturing.

Text is too dark with the filter

The room lacks light: light the sheet better or turn off the document filter.

Frequently asked questions

Are the photos uploaded?

No. The video and captures stay in your browser; the PDF is created on your device.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, on Android and iPhone in a recent browser; the rear camera is used by default.

Is the PDF text selectable?

No: each page is a photo. Optical character recognition (OCR) would be needed to select the text.

How many pages can I capture?

As many as you like, within your device's memory.
