About this tool
Sign your photos with a semi-transparent text or logo, in a corner, in the center or tiled across the whole image. The same watermark applies to every photo you choose, and your settings are remembered for next time. Processing happens on your device, with no upload.
When to use it
Photographers and creators
Discreetly sign the photos you post on a portfolio or social network, so your name travels with the image when it is shared.
Online shops and listings
Add your shop's name to product photos: a competitor can't reuse them as they are, and buyers know where they come from.
Documents sent to a third party
Before sending a copy of an ID or a proof of address, tile a note such as “Copy for rental application, October 2026” across the image: the copy can't be reused for anything else.
How to use
- Choose one or more photos.
- Type your text (for example “© Your name”) or choose your logo.
- Set the opacity, placement and angle while watching the preview.
- Click “Add the watermark” and download the images.
How it works
Each photo is drawn in a browser canvas, then the watermark is placed on top with the chosen opacity. Its size and margins are proportional to the photo's width: in a batch mixing portrait and landscape photos, the watermark keeps the same look.
In tiled mode, the text or logo is laid out in a staggered pattern on a tilted grid that covers the whole image, corners included. The original format is kept by default (JPG, PNG or WebP), and your settings stay in your browser.
Tips for best results
- For a logo, use a PNG with a transparent background: a logo on white forms a visible rectangle.
- White text with a soft shadow stays readable on both light and dark areas.
- Place the watermark where it is hard to crop: near the subject rather than in an empty corner.
- For copies of ID documents, include the recipient and the date in the tiled text.
- Always keep your originals without a watermark in a separate folder.
Common problems and fixes
The logo appears inside a white rectangle
Your logo has a white background. Use a PNG version with a transparent background, or lower the opacity to soften it.
The watermark is too small on some photos
Its size follows the photo's width: on a portrait photo, increase the text or logo size.
The images lost their transparency
Choose “Same format as the original” or PNG: JPG does not support transparency.
Frequently asked questions
Can I watermark several photos at once?
Yes: choose all your photos and the same watermark is applied to each, in the same relative place, whatever their size and orientation.
Are my settings remembered?
Yes. The text, style, opacity and placement are kept in your browser for next time. The logo must be chosen again on each visit.
What opacity should I choose?
Between 30 and 50%, the watermark stays visible without spoiling the photo. To discourage reuse of product or artwork images, tiling across the whole image at 20 to 30% works better.
Does a watermark really stop image theft?
It discourages it and credits the author, but a small watermark in a corner can be cropped or erased. A tiled watermark is much harder to remove.
Are my photos sent over the internet?
No. The watermark is drawn on your device; your photos and logo are never transmitted.
