Where does the name come from?
“Zana” means “tool” in Swahili, one of Africa's most widely spoken languages. “Kit” is understood everywhere: a ready-to-use set of tools. So Zanakit is your everyday toolkit.
Say it “za-na-kit”.

Our commitments
Free, no account
Every tool is free to use, with no sign-up, no quota and no watermark. An account is only needed to take part in the forum and to keep your history across devices.
Your files stay with you
Images, PDFs, text and code are processed by your browser. A file is only uploaded if you choose to save it in your space, where it is kept for 7 days.
Clear about the exceptions
The speed test exchanges meaningless data with our server to measure your connection, and “My IP address” asks it for your address. Speech to text and some text-to-speech voices go through your browser's service (Google, Apple or Microsoft). Each page concerned says so.
Audience measurement, only with your consent
If you accept, Google Analytics measures pages viewed, device type and country, so we know which tools to improve. Without consent, nothing is loaded or sent to Google. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
