About this tool

Add each participant's city: a grid shows everyone's local time hour by hour, colored by working hours. The best shared slots are listed and ready to copy into the invitation.

When to use it

Distributed teams

London, New York and Bangalore? See right away when everyone is at work.

Meetings with clients abroad

Suggest times that fall at a reasonable hour for the other person.

Family calls

Find the time when everyone is awake, even 10 hours apart.

How to use

  1. Choose the date.
  2. Add each participant's city.
  3. Pick a green slot and copy it.

How it works

For each hour of the first city's day, the tool works out every participant's local time with your browser's time zone database, daylight saving included on the chosen date.

An hour counts as working hours between the start and end you set, “early or late” in the two hours before and three hours after, and “night” otherwise. An ideal slot falls within everyone's working hours.

Tips for best results

  • Put the organizer's city first: the grid follows their day.
  • Change the date to check the effect of a clock change.
  • When no slot is ideal, alternate early and late meetings to share the burden.
  • Always state each participant's time in the invitation: copy the chosen slot's line.

Common problems and fixes

No ideal slot

The time difference is too large: widen the working hours or accept an “early or late” slot.

The grid has 23 or 25 hours

It is clock-change day in the first city: an hour is skipped or repeated.

The grid is wider than the screen

Scroll it sideways; on a phone, turn the screen to see more hours.

Frequently asked questions

How many participants can I add?

Up to 8 cities or time zones.

Can I change the working hours?

Yes, from 0:00 to 24:00; they apply to every participant.

What does +1 mean in the grid?

For that participant, the slot falls on the next day (−1: the previous day).

Are my cities saved?

Yes, in this browser's local storage.
