About this tool
A portrait video shows up lying on its side, or upside down? Rotate it by 90°, 180° or 270°, and mirror it if needed. The preview shows the result before saving.
When to use it
Fix a sideways phone video
Filmed with the phone flat or turned midway, the video shows sideways: a 90° rotation straightens it.
Flip an upside-down video
A ceiling-mounted camera, action cam or phone held upside down gives an inverted picture: 180° is enough.
Undo the front-camera mirror
Text on a sign or T-shirt appears reversed: mirror puts it back the right way.
How to use
- Choose your video.
- Rotate left or right and turn on mirror if needed.
- Click “Save rotated video” and download it.
How it works
Some players ignore the orientation info the phone stores. The tool therefore actually rotates each frame, so the video shows correctly everywhere, from social networks to editing apps.
The preview applies rotation and mirroring live on the player. When saving, frames are rotated then re-encoded by the browser's video engine, with the sound kept.
Tips for best results
- Watch the preview: it shows exactly the final result.
- A video lying to the left is fixed with “Rotate right”, and vice versa.
- After rotating, use “Video resizer” for a 1080×1920 vertical format.
- For a long, heavy video, compress it afterwards to share it.
- Lock your phone's auto-rotate to avoid the issue next time.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my video sideways?
The phone misread its orientation when recording started, often while lying flat.
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes, the frames are actually rotated: the video shows upright in every player and on every site.
What is mirror for?
To fix a front-camera video where text appears reversed, or to flip the direction of a scene.
Does quality drop?
The video is re-encoded at high quality: the difference isn't visible.
