About this tool
Giveaways, Secret Santa, running order or sports teams: paste a list, one name per line, and draw. The randomness comes from your browser's cryptographic generator, impossible to predict or rig.
How to use
- Paste the list, one item per line.
- Choose pick or teams, and how many.
- Draw and copy the result.
Common problems and fixes
A name was picked twice
Not possible in one draw. Check the name is not in the list twice.
Teams are not the same size
If the total does not divide evenly, some teams get one extra person: that is as balanced as possible.
I want to prove the draw is fair
Run it live, sharing your screen with participants.
Frequently asked questions
Is the draw truly random?
Yes: it uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographic random generator.
How many names can I add?
Thousands without any issue.
Is the list saved?
No, it is neither sent nor stored.
Can I pick several winners?
Yes, choose how many: they are all different.
